The Graduate Recruitment Bureau has delved into its data to answer the question, and can share insights into which universities lead to the highest graduate salaries in HR in the UK. Based on the salaries of first graduate positions after university from a pure HR degree, GRB has found the Top Five universities to apply to, if you are serious about earning good money in HR.

5th place: University of Brighton

In fifth place the University of Brighton’s HR degree graduate. Their HR professionals earn an average of £20,500 in their first graduate HR roles after university. Even in fifth place this is a pretty impressive first salary from any graduate degree programme.

A good degree (2:1 or above) is usually required for graduate HR schemes and graduate-level vacancies in HR. This industry is open to graduates from any discipline, and while HR-related degrees may be relevant, they are not necessarily considered an advantage.
